AUTOKERNCONF(8) System Manager's Manual AUTOKERNCONF(8)

NAME
autokernconf — interactively configure and build kernel

SYNOPSIS
     autokernconf -c path [-a]

DESCRIPTION
Automatically and interactively generate a kernel configuration file,
based off the output of dmesg and user input (unless otherwise
specified). Autokernconf is usually run by doconfig(8).

     Available options:

-c path Specify the output configuration file. The last part of the
path is used as the configuration ID (so -c /tmp/GLACIER would
also set the configuration ID as GLACIER).

-a Automatically generate configuration defaults, rather than
interactively deciding all settings for the configuration file.

FILES
/sys/i386/conf/GENERIC Used as a template for automatically generating a
                             kernel.
