RMSGD(8) System Manager's Manual RMSGD(8)

NAME
rmsgd - The server program for an intermachine messaging system

SYNOPSIS
       /usr/local/lib/rmsgd

DESCRIPTION
Rmsgd is the server for the rmsg intermachine messaging system. It is
       usually started from rc(8).

CONFIGURATION
The behaviour of the rmsg system can be controlled in many ways by
creating a file called .msgconf in the user's home directory. See
rmsg(1) for documentation of the format of the .msgconf file. Note
also that the server can be started by a non-root user but the commands
inlast, inappend, and exec are disabled because rmsgd can't set its
       userid to the appropriate value.
